The intention
Context
Language learning asks you to connect several skills at once. I built Hanzi King around a structured practice experience, so learners can move between reading, writing, listening and contextual exercises.
My contribution
The role
Application development and release work. The project is part of my software engineering work, with development starting in January 2026.
What I built
- Character flashcards with pronunciation and meanings.
- Guided writing and character practice.
- Listening quizzes and pronunciation practice.
- Guided units, stories and HSK-based scenarios.
- Progress and learning statistics screens.
The approach
The application organizes several practice modes around a clear learning journey. The screenshots here come directly from the actual app.
